       Today I'm trying to find out what will install and boot on an old, crusty, likely horrifically broken Pentium 4 desktop. The OpenBSD install here panics on boot so I'm going to try a few others before giving up. It's got 512MB RAM, a 40GB HDD, and some nvidia card, which is pretty decently specc'd for a P4 of this vintage.

       @elagost OpenBSD/i386 is supposed to support those if the HD and everything else is working. Can you run a live OS from CD/USB (natively or with something like Plop)
