       Brightening up a gloomy Saturday afternoon by replacing some heritage light bulbs. Look children, can you believe we used to illuminate our homes with tiny glowing strips of resistant wire!

       Back from Homebase where we puzzled over various actual and equivalent wattages, energy efficiency ratings, and some wizarding unit of light measurement called "lumens". And oh... that really is quite bright

       @mattedgar The 'energy rating' is currently being recalibrated; almost all LEDs were at A or above which was getting silly; so now ones that are common (about 100lm/watt) are now down at something like E I think.
