       so the nice internet people came by again today and fixed the misunderstanding about small-business vs residential fibre so I am now officially allowed to assign the fixed IPs and run my #HomeTown #Mastodon server and email and other things in my garage on the new fibre at full speed!I will be updating DNS and cutting over everything between today and Sunday night. Trying to do this seamlessly before I lose my old ISP service on Tuesday, but this is a heads up in case DNS foils my plans because it's always DNSBut so far yeah this is nice!

       @msh I've got my instances (ser.endipito.us and pixels.jdt.io) running on my 1Gb symmetric fiber at home, too. That kind of speed is definitely a game-changer!
