@xerz Oof I don't know if I could get used to having to configure/debug javascript packages. I may be alone in this but I like my elisp a lot more than my javascript. Especially since I discovered that I can basically write lisp like I write go using structs, methods and closures.

@xerz You're probably right! Having worked with collaborative elisp threading recently I would be the first to admit that it definitely isn't ideal 😄

@xerz Is it really any different than flaunting a "designer" watch or a prada bag in a commercial? Pop stars promoting overvalued things seem to be kind of the norm to me sadly.

@xerz I agree!I suspect that a huge driver of this is the de-duplication of effort that has happened in the form of open source packages in recent times. It seems to take a lot less time to create a sleek UI or a basic CRUD API than it used to thanks to the open source packages that can be pulled in.What do you think? Am I just looking through FOSS colored glasses here? 🤓

@xerz The fediverse seems to solve different problems to different people. It's hard to say much about that sentence without knowing what social problem they are referring to. Or what they think the fediverse is trying to achieve in that regard.Broadly speaking though, I'd say that social problems are tackled in all kinds of different ways: legislation, awareness campaigns, non profits, etc. Why would a technical solution be an invalid one, if the motive is still to solve or alleviate a social problem?

@atyh I tested mine in emacs with eww. I never use text only browsers but I think it's important that a text-content website like a blog functions without javascript or CSS. Best way to check is a text only browser!

@silverpill Not a suggestion, sorry, just curious. Do mobile wallets using WalletConnect have the same problem?
