@RustyCrab @InceptionState @mushroom_soup I think she had to tolerate him in order to limit any opportunity for him to take up even more court time with an appeal. Yeah it would've been great to rip him a new asshole for dicking around, but ultimately she was shitting all over him by showing how out of his depth he was. Unfortunately I don't think he'll ever realise that, and will be a prison lawyer for his fellow inmates. At the end of the DA's closing argument she looked really on the emotional edge when they played a video of the victims. And then after the jury went to deliberate, Brooks was trying to be all joking with her about the jurisdiction question etc.

She got better by the end of the trial when she realised she could just not answer his questions, and then call the jury in and he would shut up. He'd be talking shit right up until they were coming through the door 😂
