@Kang_Kong2 @CornFlakes Having done the same with my own Cadians (and playing gunline dwarfs) you get used to assembly line painting. The reward of just dumping dice onto the table is so satisfying.

@Kang_Kong2 Having about... 50 or so Dwarf Thunderers makes games of fantasy more like Napoleonic warfare as opposed to classic sword n' shields. Still funny to watch my opponent try to charge me as a good chunk of their army gets obliterated ala "The Last Samurai".

@GhostBear I used to have Long Drong's Pirate Slayers as a mordheim warband. Great fun. Especially after converting the boss to have a hand instead of a hook and a leg instead of the peg and then 1st time out he gets taken out and i rolled multiple injuries: lose eye, hand and leg

@Kang_Kong2 @GhostBear I get the satisfaction but man sometimes I'm glad my poison of choice is BattleTech. Sure, I have more tables to check every firing phase than your average statistician, but at least I only get 12 models to move around!

@CornFlakes @Kang_Kong2 Twelve?! What are you playin, Alpha Strike?!Jokes aside, I get the appeal of both. I love that Battletech chose 5mm scale for their minis because it's really fun trying to show off the sense of scale the giant fighting robots really have.

@GhostBear @CornFlakes Probably heresy to admit this on an anime respecting sure but I never liked giant mecha or titans. The idea starts out 30 feet above the shark and does not come down.

@Kang_Kong2 @GhostBear @CornFlakes Maybe Gundam 08th MS team might interest you. The show is a lot more down to earth, doesn't feature superpowered teens who kill God, and instead focuses on smaller squad based stuff. The Gundams move heavily, they break down when no one does maintenance on them, and you see how they are serviced and resupplied.

@LoneMacReady @Kang_Kong2 @CornFlakes I can second this! Finished the show with the wife a day or so ago. A lot of it doesn't hold up, but when it works (Like the entirety of Episode 10) it's some of the best mecha work ever made.
