I worked in performing arts and costumes and boa's are fun. But, I've never watched horror shows for a reason and I will read this and I am AFRAID. These are TEACHING TOOLS for the abduction and defilement of women and children.

In the '70s and '80s Canadian children had to make their costumes--and they were far and away cooler than the costumes people buy nowadays.Last Friday night when the latest Halloween movie was released I avoided theatres like the plague. People had posted on Twitter that they would wear Michael Myers masks to screenings. I don't want to be there when a tragedy occurs. Better safe than sorry.

Men are sometimes surprised by my love of Halloween and disdain for horror movies/houses. I never liked the sexualization of Halloween, never liked being scared. What I do love about Halloween is the seasons changing, the harvest, the tradition. I never liked the witches being portrayed as ugly and green with worts, but I did grow up enjoying Harry Potter, Halloweentown, Twitches, Sabrina, Practical Magic, and so many other stories this time of year

I have not purchased a single item from Walmart except 2 quarts of oil in the auto bldg when out in a far away city. Desperation.
