@Kinochet This is difficult - Ralph's legs cant hold up the gunt for 2 miles.But its my understanding converting to catholicism requires quite a bit of time and effort - neither of which i see ralph giving.To make matters worse, he would first have to learn spanish in order to attend his local church.

@Kinochet Conversation to Catholicism is a long process, taking 9 months or more of lessons and practice before finally being able to receive your first communion, Ralph does not have the patience for that, and I doubt there are many Mexican Catholic churches that offer RCIA in English.

@Skrorg @Shadowman311 @Kinochet “orthodoxy” is a term used in Catholicism as well, it just means what’s properly acknowledged and taught aka not your conscience, not your feel good vibes, but what’s properly written down and accepted by the church at several points in its history.

@SeanutArbuckle2 @Kinochet You do confession with the sincere intention of repenting your sins and changing your ways, otherwise what's the point? You might be fooling yourself or the priest, not fooling God. And besides I don't know if undergoing confession makes sense before being baptised. The process of conversion is more or less involved and requires studying the bible and attending mass with a certain frequency, depending on where you do it, might require to spend an entire year on the process. 🤔

I'm one of those "degenerate Protestant" Southern Baptists, too. When I was a younger man I dated a Catholic girl. I had to just sit there while everyone took communion. And then later I dated an Episcopal girl, and the Vicar of her church went out of his way to invite me to take communion.
