@boilingsteam Obiously I meant the next version if the current x86 iteration is too expensive to sell afordably they will not manufacture many of them, they will still use this generation as a new iteration of SteamOS and jump to ARM for the next gen.

A game can be good or can be bad slop, and that's it.What is going down is the games industry produced by large corporations who are the ones that introduced the "20 mins of cut-scenes" per 5 min of gameplay.I'm currently playing Escape from Duckov a game made by a small Chinky studio and IMHO it is fantastic. Gameplay-wise it has tons of weapons good gameplay an environmentally told story that unfolds organically, and it is dirty cheap.There are no problems with gaming if one learns some self control.

@Heil_Honkler @casuist They did the same thing to our traditional medicine, label it up all pseudoscience and gave us SSRIs, sedatives, vaccines and many other goodies which while being very scientifically made are a different type of quackery, just made very scientifically in a lab like Oxycontin an opioid that wasn't scientifically meant to be addictive.There are lots of things in traditional Chinese and European medicine that works but whose active principles can't be distilled, refined and sold as medicines because they can't be patented so they get lumped with the quackery.Please never confuse the difference between engineering (synthesising and packing a pill) and the scientific process of understanding why or how a given molecule acts inside the body, those are two very different things and big pharma's science is excellent on the former and almost absent in the later.An example, Chamomile tea is one if not the best remedies to easy an upset digestive tract, no secondary effects, pure quackery compared to pepto-bismol's science in a bottle.

@boilingsteam ARM is not a product but a specification, there's nothing preventing you from incorporating a PCI-e bus and adding a regular GPU to any custom board, proof is the myriad of people driving AMD GPUs with Pi boards.The key to ARM being cheap is that you can make your own tailor made-design and approach many more CPU firms than just AMD/Intel. (Chi..., cough, cough)And the biggest problem with ARM graphics traditionally has always been the drivers being closed source, something that Valve will not want/tolerate, the Steam Frame has my utmost attention because of this.Most boards like the popular Pi's have shitty drivers, some of them closed, really bad upstream kernel support, etc.
