I have an old #blog that I'd like to migrate away from #Wordpress someday. Looking at #Jekyll but very open to suggestions!I'd also gladly take pointers/tutorial recommendations on building practical, lightweight sites. Most of the tutorials I can find are either "baby's first website" or "bloated corporate nightmare"...

@xelle I wrote an in-depth post on creating a lightweight blog with Jekyll. I did come back to WP though, mainly because of Gutenberg and the writing workflow. Here’s the link if you’re interested:https://kevquirk.com/how-to-build-jekyll-site-simple-css/

@kev @xelle There’s a “Jekyll Exporter” plugin for WordPress, too. Works rather well. (I believe I had to tweak it a tiny bit to get it to also export some custom post types and post meta.)
