Two reasons:1. After fighting the british for ~800 years we forgot it was possible to have other enemies.2. Waaaay too much respect for education and teachers. Jews took over the universities here and it was easy for them to quickly take everything else. Barely anyone noticed it happening.As an aside I can't prove it but I'm 70% sure Simon Harris is jewish (see pic related). At least one of our Taoiseachs and the minister who wrote our refugee laws were jewish, but almost no one knows it. We've also had a cryptojew Taoiseach but again I can't prove it, just going by the phenotype.Either way this country is Jewed harder than Sweden, but we're slightly behind the curve so people aren't aware of the problem. No mainstream paper or TV station expresses any opposition to immigration or otherwise commits wrongthink.The two main parties in power have platforms very similar to the democrats and are considered "center right" and "far right" respectively. Their opposition are literal communists (and might actually gain power for once). There are two parties opposing immigration but they're starting from scratch and have very little public exposure, the media studiously ignores them and pretends their candidates don't exist.

But the 70s saw a shift towards marxist Socialism specifically and that's when Connolly got more famous. Connolly would shoot the communists of today.
