@kev Welp hmm, there's still creative features phones if we have those, there's the Fx0, there's the Pinephone, there's the foldables… aesthetics-wise there's practical limits and you're gonna have to show off mostly through software, but phones can still be fun :blobcatuwu:

@kev I had SE K810i as my last non-smartphone and that thing was doing things I'd routinely do on a smartphone these days - games, Opera Mini, great photos, music. I even figured out how to tether internet to it via Bluetooth and I watched YouTube on it. Great times that ended too abruptly to my taste.

@kev I can't see this happening. Mobile phone manufactures are focused on profiting not experimenting in funky designs. Unless the market starts to demand this, they will not bother to innovate or create some unique design.

@kev I've had a concept a long while back; move the "phone" function to your smartwatch and for gaming/watching videos use a small tablet. But I'd change the tablet to a *Steam Deck* nowadays ✌️😏

@kev Hey Kev. I guess I much prefer a single device which will met do all I need from photography to writing and feeling it is part of the ecosystem I enjoy using. I also enjoy the iPhone 12 Pro quite a bit and just what it brings me in day to day life. I don't think those other devices would let me live the way I do. I enjoy the way the things work together.
