I'm beginning to hate mountain bikers.#Gruoch and I were walking one of our usual routes for the #DogWalk. It is a small footpath through a forest. Suddenly we were descended upon by four mountain bikers, travelling at full-speed. I only just had enough time to get Gruoch safely to one side. Someone with mobility issues wouldn't have stood a chance.Gruoch didn't like it, either. As they last two passed she gave a mighty growl and barks.They nearly jumped out of their skins.Ha ha ha.

@fitheach It happened to us a couple of days ago on the Water of Leith path. It's a shared path but also NCN75. Most cyclists are fine but we had 2 just miss us by inches. There was no warning, most people say something to get attention or use a bell but these 2 didn't. They didn't look like real cyclists anyway more like people on bikes or pobs as I've heard people say.I like to cycle but I rarely use that path, I prefer to be as fast as I can so I'll normally be on the road.

@fitheach at least they weren't cars or suchonce I've been hit by a car in crossing and had to spend a month with my right arm on a castit was very frustrating

@Wizardofosmium That's my experience, too. There are, however, a substantial minority of mountain bikers who treat any forest road or path as a race track

@fitheach yeah but some legal reason i was guilty as the crossing wasn't explicitly marked (as does most streets in here)
