       Longevity is the reason I jumped from #android to #iphone. I was a steadfast #nexus6p user for the longest time. I bought a refurbished nexus from a friend who also had one. The battery started dying around two years in and then Google pushed an update. My friend’s phone started to die first then mine a few weeks later. I couldn’t even have GMaps open for more than 5 minutes before the phone would off itself.1/?

       I was short on money at the time and bought a used iPhone 5C that was around 5 years old. That phone was amazing, still worked like brand new. It may have been running an outdated version of iOS but I could still install any app that I wanted. They camera may have been shit, but hey at least I could trust my phone to not corrupt the image when saving.2/?

       There are so many things that android have that makes me Jealous about mainly The ability to flash custom ROMs, but my phone lasting more than 3 years is huge.When I eventually got some money I bought an iPhone 8 and loved it. The only reason I upgraded to an iPhone 13 last year was because I dropped my phone and the screen shattered and I was tired of cutting my fingers on it.3/3

       @asteroidrainfall I used an iPhone SE for almost 5 years, albeit the last year of it was really bad because the last OS update + apps almost fileld up the whole storage, making it impossible to store pictures or even podcasts on it.and iPhone is the first brand that I actually stayed in the brand for after changing a device. I am not doing much with my phone, but what I need it does, and I hope it will keep up for even more than 5 years.
