The benefit to Poast being the most visible landing spot for the Fediverse is that our “assimilate or die” attitude on the nigger word actually benefits the other instances. If Poast culture isn’t for you but you’re not so offended by the nigger word that you’ll run, then you’re probably not a shitbag enemy and we just have to find the instance for you. We are essentially helping to filter out the shittiest people even for the other instances.

@lowhangers Jim Metokur came over so we got YouTube culture people. A lot of the Kiwi people were actually somewhat around already as they used to have their own instance, which they will probably go back to if they can get a new one up.

Well, if you believe that then you should want to be able to influence where people get funneled and how it operates. @lowhangers @borzoi As far as I can tell KF issue wasnt with hosting but with a service to protect against DDOS attacks iirc which considering the amount of people with personal vendettas and their own threads dedicated to them it makes sense that its a hard sell to find any new providers of such a service even capable of handling such a load let alone willing to do so for such a controversial site.
