I prolly won't get anywhere but I had to try!Hello Twitter I wish to appeal against the suspension of my account. I would respectfully request that my appeal be considered by someone whose first language is English because of what I will be saying here and because I believe my suspension was due to a hasty misunderstanding of my Tweet.The Tweet leading to my suspension was this one:https://twitter.com/Broma07983148/status/1526998144919248896The reason for my suspension is given as “abusive behavior”.Literally the tweet stated; Ah the good old "we will cut your throats while you sleep" threat...I would suggest that it is only fair that the tweet be looked at in detail to establish whether the suspension was fair.The first word is “Ah”, “Ah” is used to express a range of emotions including surprise, pleasure, sympathy, and realization. The example given is: "ah, there you are!"I use it in the latter sense, of realization because I have just discovered something I can identify. What I have identified is a Tweet posted by Odessa News of a poster posted on a telephone pole presumably in Ukraine, showing a man creeping up on another who is sleeping and threatening to stab him. Odessa News is a Ukrainian resistance account and the poster has presumably been put up to threaten and intimidate the Russian occupiers of Ukraine.I am very interested in the historic/sociological/psychological aspects of the war and would often comment on Tweets from both sides.The next words are “the good old”, the phrase “good old” is used before the name of someone or something that always does what you expect.What is it I am recognising? What it is that I expect? The answer is the last word of the Tweet “threat”. I explain what the threat is by putting the words between quotation marks "we will cut your throats while you sleep". Why do I use quotation marks for this phrase? Wikipedia says:“People also use quotation marks in this way to distance the writer from the terminology in question so as not to be associated with it, for example to indicate that a quoted word is not official terminology, or that a quoted phrase presupposes things that the author does not necessarily agree with; or to indicate special terminology that should be identified for accuracy's sake as someone else's terminology, as when a term (particularly a controversial term) pre-dates the writer or represents the views of someone else, perhaps without judgement (contrast this neutrally distancing quoting to the negative use of scare quotes).”And this is why I used them here. I was not making a threat. The threat was being made by the person who put up the poster, presumably a member of the Ukrainian resistance against the Russian occupiers. I do not agree with the threat being made by the poster, but I was explaining what it meant and putting it in the context of the war. If you care to look at my Twitter account on the subject of the Ukrainian war, you will see in other instances I compare events and photos to the works of the Spanish artist Goya, for example. Like many people I use my Twitter account to make comments, to microblog. Please also note that the Tweet targeted no-one. No-one was being specifically threatened. I was just explaining what the threatening poster in another Tweet meant.In Twitter’s declaration on Abusive Behavior you state:“On Twitter, you should feel safe expressing your unique point of view. We believe in freedom of expression and open dialogue, but that means little as an underlying philosophy if voices are silenced because people are afraid to speak up.”And this is precisely what I was doing, expressing my POV. It also says:“Some Tweets may seem to be abusive when viewed in isolation, but may not be when viewed in the context of a larger conversation. When we review this type of content, it may not be clear whether it is intended to harass an individual, or if it is part of a consensual conversation. “ I would suggest you failed to consider the context of my Tweet and also what it actually says and how it says it.I would therefore respectfully ask that you re-read the Tweet, look at the context in which it was sent and re-instate my account. @sub_aetha Given that a lot of public bodies/governments use Twitter officially, Twitter should have a commensurately quality system for suspending accounts. Apparently it doesn't. It is parochial, partisan and inaccurate.Frankly speaking no democratic government should actually have a Twitter account while Twitter is this inept and biased because citizens are being unfairly excluded from using it as a channel of communication.

@ninafromcanadaeh I was suspended in May... I just let my ideas re the appeal mature until August. I wasn't even clear I would appeal but one morning I thought I should.
