It's shockingly minimal for hair halfway down my back. My hair is thick and loosely curly, but really all I do is: 1) detangle: Flip my hair over my head, use a detangling brush from roots to ends, starting at the nape of my neck. Get back upright and repeat from the ends to the roots, so all the tangles are out. 2) distribute the oils Start like step one but use a boar bristle brush from roots to ends *gently* brushing to distribute the natural oils. Do the same when you're upright. Sometimes I pin it up with a single hairpin or just braid it down the back. Gf usually has her hair up all the time.
