@PennyLope @HebrideanHecate I used to interact with him back in 2018.I guess he's been broken down to size. There is absolutely nothing remotely organic about thinking of or calling Miranda a she.

@Rogue_Koala @PennyLope @HebrideanHecate The thing is, both he and Fionne still insist on female names. That makes it more difficult, linguistically to automatically use male pronouns even though everyone knows they are men. We associate those names with women so a lot of people will attach the female pronouns. Even though they say they are okay with male pronouns, the female name makes it likely people will use "she". And they know it.

@PennyLope @HebrideanHecate sounds like one of the benefits of being male, he can afford to forget that he's talking to a man. My bet is that he won't forget he's talking to a man if the man in question is bigger, stronger, or higher status. Masculinity is all about status and dominance, so feeling weaker than would force him to be conscious of it again.

@Fullycaffeinated @Rogue_Koala @PennyLope @HebrideanHecate I don't disagree with your main point. There are names that are either common for both sexes or are just less stereotypically associated with one or other. Those are easier to deal with. We don't have trouble being corrected on pronouns with those. There's a cultural jarring at work with these feminine names. If their attitude towards their gender and pronouns has gone through a shift since they first chose the name, it's a bit hard to think they should *have* to change it again. But it's one of the aspects of this I'd find difficult in real world interactions.

@FeartnTired @Fullycaffeinated @HebrideanHecate @PennyLope It's just about understanding the word doesn't contain the reality. If that is so, which it is. Why use the word at all. Especially as their sales pitch is that they know they are men. It's openly unapologetically parodying women and expecting to be taken seriously.
