In terms of art and graphics, are Mac Books worth the extra spondoolies for someone looking to go into that sort of industry or can you do pretty much the same on a decent gaming laptop if you own one of them already?They always seem eye wateringly expensive

@Chronic-Yonic I need a laptop for myself, just cheap and cheerful, but eldest is doing art and design and I was wondering if he'd be needing anything more professional and whether it was worth taking the financial hit now or later. He has a decent gaming laptop though, and uses Blender on that, so I'm inclined to hold off as long as possible. If for no other reason than teenagers are fickle and we could have a complete academic turn around between now and college.
