I've been trying to convince myself that using my bicycle to carry home 35 lbs of charcoal to burn in the BBQ is irony instead of a textbook example of cognitive dissonance.

@kop316 Making dinner for two families.I use a triple walled grill, so I only need to fill the firebox once, even for 8-10 hrs, low & slow. The 35 lbs will last 8-10 months.I've also rationalised that planting these pine and spruce seedlings I'm hardening up in our garden will compensate for the trees I burn to cook dinner.Still it's more wasteful than a microwave or induction cooker.
