       I mean maybe not "hate" so much, but writing fiction is... A Lot for me. It's always intimidating and confronts me with so much, from doubts about craft to feelings and subjects brought up by what I write about. I could make myself experience writing as a constant high of artistic inspiration, or I could admit that it's a plodding, lonely, often unpleasant craft that I'm nevertheless driven to and turn it into a routine. I'm very glad I chose the second, because the first was simply not happening.
