       Any suggestions for a medium/low end laptop that can run Linux? I have a desktop I primarily use, so have been using Linux on a Chromebook for what little I do away from the desktop. Just looking for something that would let me continue to tinker with Rust, and do it from my back porch or in a quieter spot when the kids get noisyLooking for something in the $400-$500 range,  and don't need discrete graphics or anything fancy

       @TomLarrow I typically buy refurbished Dell Lattittude laptops and have never had any issues running Linux. I think the laptop I have now cost me about $250 at the time and it's got 8 GB of RAM and a good-enough Intel CPU.

       @TomLarrow @chronrevisited I also recommend #refurbished laptops. Dell Latitude is a good choice, along with most other business class brands such as HP EliteBook, ProBook and Lenovo #ThinkPad. What did you end up getting?

       @retroedgetech @TomLarrow @chronrevisited HP elitebook refurbs are a steal. You can get a last gen i5 with 16gb ram and a decent sized SSD for under $500. Insanely good.

       @retroedgetech @chronrevisited I got a refurbished Dell Inspiron for $230 that had Windows 10s on it, and 10s is probably why it was returned. Installed Manjaro and it does exactly what I need and is low power enough that it has great battery life
