@hund I've been expecting something like this for a while. Apple's "privacy" push is purely marketing in my estimation, and by pushing it they can push competitors out of this market. Once those competitors are pushed out for "privacy" reasons, Apple can step into the void and absorb the market for themselves. I'm sure they'll still be "super focused" on your privacy. No better way to keep competitors out of the running and the money flowing to Apple and Apple alone.

@hund @spyro @kacey Apple and Google are the left and right hands of something bigger that controls tech. Neither is better than the other. If you use iCloud or any Apple device, Apple already knows your browsing history, emails, contacts, photos , notes, documents etc. How is that any different from Google?

@mike I don't keep up with Apple (or any tech to be honest), so this surprised me a lot. Say what you want about Apple and their products, but they have always taken great pride in their products being the most polished and professional product ever. Perhaps that pride died with Steve Jobs.
