Just a reminder that sometimes the best security is to simply turn off internet connected devices when not in use—which also gives your mind and utilities bill a much needed break! ⚡

@bitwarden It’s a simple but very useful suggestion. I always disconnect the link when I am not using my computer.:blobcatwavereverse:

@bitwarden same for services:The less services are used/open to the internet the smaller the security risk.

@Anachron great advice! It’s always a great idea to occasionally audit your services list and close out any that are no longer needed, and request account data deletion where applicable.

@bitwarden I agree but it isn't really practical for everyone. Too much of what I do requires a connection to internet, which I don't think is a rare occurrence anymore for many people. That is why I think encouraging better security hygiene rather than technological abstinence is the right way to go in this day and age. People could definitely walk or take a bicycle everywhere but it's more appropriate to recommend using electric cars and other 'green' solutions in general.

@Bitwarden Very good advice indeed. And it also goes for WiFi, BlueTooth and GPS on your phone: if you don't use it, turn it off.
