Reading up on Wayne Brown "Mr fix Auckland" makes me think he doesn't have a clue how a council works, or what a mayor does. Even though he was mayor of the Far North (how'd that work out?). Also, "his team includes Mathew Hooton" .... enough said! #Auckland deserves better.

Surely someone who doesn't even live in #Auckland (currently based in Mangonui) is immediately disqualified from thinking they can fix the city. Aucklanders, do you really want someone that fcked up the Far North during his stint there coming in to your city and doing the same?

Brown talks about doing away with dopey projects thought up by Wellington (then wrongly points to light rail as one and refuses to admit he is wrong when challenged by interviewer) ... Good grief #Auckland does not need a dopey twat like you anywhere near council.

I am sick and tired of people thinking being a "businessman" in any way qualifies you to be a public servant. Councils and governments ARE NOT BUSINESSES that should be run for profit. They are there to serve the public and provide services.

@Hyolobrika @ryancrawcour The official Marxist-Lenninist plan can be summed up as: do revolution, get the commie party into power, organize the whole country economic and social apparatus to produce stuff for the needs of the many instead of for profit, then start outsourcing stuff to community/worker-run organizations until what's left of the state is just a skeleton

@Hyolobrika @ryancrawcour The idea is that the commie party should beade up of workers and the population at large has therefore massive influence on it.To help with that, the classical proposal is to have a FPTP electoral system but with 2 major changes: 1) the electoral units aren't territorial but worker councils (with each factory or site of production having it's own etc)

@Hyolobrika @ryancrawcour 2) the elections aren't periodical, instead each council picks someone for the parlament, and if they are dissatisfied, they just substitute him whenever they like
