       I wonder how long the threatened "power blackouts" this winter will last each time?Thinking about my UPSs...

       @penguin42 Insufficient to turn over the big diesel generator known as the cab's engine.

       @neil Hmm shame; you could survive in a cab in a powercut.

       @neil do you have a UPS that you use with any SBC's I have a Rockpro64 and currently I'm looking at options for a UPS

       @GreyLinux UPS (APC) --> UniFi PoE switch --> Raspberry Pi machines powered via PoE.

       @neil it's literally my only regret with the rockpro64, there isn't as large a support market for things like UPS or other add ons

       @GreyLinux Is there anything which makes it special / unusual from a UPS point of view?As in, is there a reason why a (say) APC UPS, with apcd on the device, would not work?

       @neil none really I can't see a reason why it wouldn't work with an APC UPS, I just can't justify the cost of a full blown UPS solution to protect my little server. Raspberry pi has a small UPS hat that runs off rechargable AA batteries and a script can power down the PI properly when it switches to the UPS supply. This is the kind of solution I would love for the Rockpro64.

       @GreyLinux @neil Aren't there generic 12v or USB-C UPS's ?

       @penguin42 @neil thank you for pointing this out , I completely overlooked somehow generic 12v 5A UPS suitable for routers and SBC's it's funny how a slight nudge in the right direction and I've managed to find alot of products that should be suitable . Really appreciate the tip.

       @penguin42 @neil I've found a few with reasonable reviews but I'll continue my research and report back on this post.
