I'm still kind of surprised how easy the transition to Linux has been.Usually, if it doesn't run on Linux, I can do without it. If I need windows for testing something I have my kids computer to run it on temporarily. For me it's just #Arch and #freebsd now

@freakinbox You could also set up a Windows VM in Virtualbox if your computer has enough resources to do so

@brandon I tried on my Freebsd server.. and vm-bhyve didn't play nice.I'm sure I could sort it out but for what it's worth I'm not really interested in running the desktop version for server purposes and I don't have windows server. I can get away with wine with stuff like that too :)Any thing I might need it for would require an install as it would be for gaming. :)

@freakinbox You don't have to run Windows server to be able to run Windows in a VM? Is there something I missed in your use case?

@brandon I just need it for running a couple of game server that don't have a linux client. I didn't feel like messing around with Wine, but ultimately it's going to be easier than getting windows to run on my server to run the game server.I don't need it for desktop use. Steam has mostly solved this.

@freakinbox Have you looked into Docker for this purpose?Or maybe you could virtualize SteamOS?
