People who don't understand game design, getting angry that the devs won't add something to the game that trivializes content, "because it hurts no one," are really frustrating. Challenge and trade-offs is what makes the game interesting... remove all the choices (give a character every ability instead of having to choose a few from many), then make the challenges trivial... those same people would leave the game because it's become boring. But they don't see that.

@CarlCravens Eh. Given that there are people who watch playthroughs of games that are too difficult for them because they want to experience the story, I think your assumption is not universally true. Different people enjoy different styes of play, including "no challenge is a danger and I can progress without anxiety and frustration"

@Anke These demands are coming from veterans of the game wanting to speed up farming. There are problems with the farming, but trivializing the content isn't the solution.

@craigmaloney I think this is the biggest problem... people don't always understand the ramifications of getting what they ask for in a game.
