       My oldest son has a school assigned laptop, just very basic HP. They left school this summer and are starting a new school in Sept. So I wiped it and put Zorin OS on it (the education version).Colour me impressed, it’s very bloody good!

       @kevI installed :zorin: Zorin OS on a acquaintance's laptop.  Nothing but positive remarks about it, and his girlfriend also wants it on her laptop.  #Windows10 is just so bloated and slow.

       @kev Zorin was what I landed on for my spare work laptop. So far, I really like it. It's very windows-esq and runs pretty smooth.

       @kev Yep, my cousin recommended Zorin a couple years ago, and I've been running it on my ThinkPad since. Really solid distro. I wish they'd update the version of Gnome they use a base, but overall it's a pretty minor complaint.

       @jason123santa Well, it's an issue with #Ubuntu but not like it is with #Zorin. Ubuntu 22.04 just went from Gnome 40 to 42, but before that they were still on 40. Zorin hasn't upgraded to 40+ yet. Last I looked it was still on 3.38 and I'm too lazy to check my work right now. I know it supports things like Gnome extensions, but which ones are limited because of the older base.@kev

       @mike @kev is Zorin still on ubuntu 20.04 or did they upgrade to ubuntu 22.04? I think ubuntu 20.04 is still on gnome 3.38 but I really don't know

       @jason123santa Yea, 20.04 was still on 3.3x or something. Maybe now that the latest LTS is here we'll see that update to Zorin. That would be really nice.@kev

       @kev I've always really liked Zorin OS! It's always worked very smoothly, and I like it's aesthetic. The only reason it's not my main distro right now is that it for some reason had some issues with my Framework Laptop.
