I thought I'd try a new spin(at least to me) on site design that focused on SVG's. This was fun, quick, and I daresay practical. It's a little chunky, but it could be trimmed down with a little effort.http://fortwalden.com/toot/home.svg

@atyh @jordan31 I would like to jump into Gemini a little more. I’m not sure I understand any advantages it has to http with simple static html though. I think a lot of people could do what I did above with paper or whatever and not have to wade through learning CSS or JavaScript. Image maps in html don’t work very well anymore and it’s nice to make them any shape. Will try this out with some youngsters in the family.

@daniel @atyh it’s not really meant to compete with http. It’s just a very light and simple protocol that allows for creativity from client writers. I’d also say the main focus is the content, your words. Another cool fact is this protocol could be run on older devices as long as it can handle ssl or tls.
