The author's argument is that ecological catastrophe and the energy crisis will lead to economic collapse.The idea is to prepare ourselves in ways that make sense rather than throw all our hope into the existing (worldly) economic system.These include educating ourselves in the environment around us. What can we grow? How can we survive without fully stocked grocery stores, or without them at all?This specific project (CollapseOS) is about making an operating system that *could* become useful long after collapse, when the computers we have now become inoperable.Focusing on hyperinflation is myopic. Who cares about it if industry and supply chains collapse in a couple decades anyway?

The weather and an infinitely renewable resource, like oil, will not cause any problems. Politicians making rules assuming they will will be the source of ALL the problems. Unless we disobey. And I will.
