So annoying when a book has multiple narrators and they don't pronounce character or location names the same way. In my current read there was one that was so different I didn't even realize it was the same character at first. Also, what does a "director"of an audiobook do? Most audiobooks credit a director now, and it seems like pronunciation consistency should be part of that person's job since I doubt the narrators are in the studio together.

@whami That is so frustrating. Multi-cast audiobooks really need a high level of care to be tolerable. Not multi-cast, but one series I listened to switched to a cheaper audiobook publisher who apparently couldn't afford the original narrator. So mid series, the narrator changes and he pronounces all the names so differently, I didn't even recognize one regular character until a couple chapters in. Don't they at least consult the author for names?

@CarlCravens Keven Anderson's Seven Suns did that after the second or third book. It was a very abrupt change.

@whami That's the exact series I was referencing. Love the books, but that made it difficult. Already a lot of names to keep track of.
