So about these #Sony #Trinitron TVs: I got this one a month ago, and it's amazing. Picture quality is awesome, geometry seems to be fine, it's pretty sturdy ... my question is: Where is the catch? What's the downside? Should I even keep a normal #CRT if I can get more of these? 🤷 #retrogaming

It's a CRT without the fishbowl reflection...... some people notice and are then annoyed by the horizontal stabilisation wire(s). But if you haven't noticed them, forget I mentioned them. @reidrac @Datassette_User

@EdS @reidrac Had to take a look and now I see what you mean, but glady this doesn't bother me as I usually sit far enough away from the tube not to notice. Moreover, for a picture that is overall so much better than, say, my little Toshiba right next to it, I'll overlook such a detail with pleasure 😃👍

@Datassette_User no catch. I only keep Sony Trinitron for numerous reasons. Apart from picture quality, they are also reliable. I would hoard more if space would allow.
