So about these #Sony #Trinitron TVs: I got this one a month ago, and it's amazing. Picture quality is awesome, geometry seems to be fine, it's pretty sturdy ... my question is: Where is the catch? What's the downside? Should I even keep a normal #CRT if I can get more of these? 𤡠#retrogaming

@EdS @reidrac Had to take a look and now I see what you mean, but glady this doesn't bother me as I usually sit far enough away from the tube not to notice. Moreover, for a picture that is overall so much better than, say, my little Toshiba right next to it, I'll overlook such a detail with pleasure đđ

Okay, this is it. This is my new favorite #C64 joystick: the Quickshot Supercharger. Microswitches, suction caps, comfortable to hold, reliable, clicky and of course the cheap Quickshor charm you'd expect from this. đšī¸

For the experienced player. Featuring a nice grip to hold on to, and two fire buttons (of which you will only use the one your index finger can reach). No rapid fire, that's something for CP users, duh! Clickidy clack, motherf#@3&!

I did it! My book on the history of the #Atari Jaguar is finished and freely available for download over at archive dot org. It took my a while to get there, and I enjoyed every minute of it. I now have one of these: a #cassette eraser. It not only comes in handy for audio tapes I want to re-record, but also computer tapes as well. Just tried it and it works like a charm! Now where is that defective Theatre Europe tape I have? I can finally clear it and dump a fresh image onto it, which will then hopefully work. Anyway, glad to have this!#retrocomputing #cassettes

After having watched a Computer Chronicles special on Gary Kildall, I find it hard to believe that there is not a single book out there to dive deeper into the history of this fascinating guy and all the things he brought to life. The only thing so far is a fragment of a memoir he wrote before his death. So noone ever considered this a topic worth writing about, even in the 80s and 90s?
