Tried a little more MineClone2 on MineTest.Hold down punch/break, it keeps punching a long time after you stop, which can get you killed. Mouse control in inventory's laggy too.I got all blown up by a creeper, and didn't end up in the same spawn spot! Had a hell of a time finding the death spot to get my loot. I've since slept in a bed, so I think I'm secure now.Found a village, blacksmith's lava immediately set fire to all trees & buildings (didn't get after pic).#minecraft #minetest

@mars Based on this run, MineTest is not superior, but it's caught up to a few versions behind, with jankier gameplay. The lag is a real problem if I was a run-and-fight guy, but I mostly slow explore caves or overworld, then build bases.And if MineCraft keeps getting worse from MS's meddling, it's my least-bad option for blocky walking game.

@mars I move the mouse and click, and it doesn't necessarily click where the pointer is. So then I'm dragging some random item other than what I pointed-and-clicked at. Which in literally every other program has been a solved problem since 1984.The punch lag is even worse, it's like it's treating mouse-down as a repeating key, which it is NOT. It's an on-off state.

Found a Mooshroom island! But it's not mob-free here. Uh oh. You might think they walked in from the trees, but no, some were on top of mushrooms, too.

@mdhughes @mars I suspect these are MacOS-specific bugs, we've had problems with input on macs in the past. Unfortunately, we don't have any developers that use a mac anymore, so have to rely on contributors

@GoodClover @mdhughes I use GitLab for all my personal projects, including the open source projects. So I would support moving. However, I don't support long and pointless debates when time is better spent elsewhere - which is ultimately what these sorts of issues end up being

@rubenwardy @mdhughes @mars It's true I don't get any click lag when I run minetest in Linux. It only lags out when you try to place something in an inventory slot, and remains responsive when you pick up something to take out of a slot.
