Heather Burns (@WebDevLaw@twitter.com) has written a jaw-dropping post on the massive obligations that the soon-to-be-passed UK #onlinesafetybill will place on every "site, service, or app [that] allows content to be shared and/or people to communicate with each other [that can] be accessed by any adult or any child within the UK".ANY service with user-generated content or comms.Of ANY size.In ANY jurisdiction, if it can be /accessed/ by anyone in the UK.https://webdevlaw.uk/2022/07/11/your-compliance-obligations-under-the-uks-online-safety-bill/#uktech

@jonathanmatthews Would this even apply for a small cloud server? Like Nextcloud? I mean, I have users (family members) on it who can upload their stuff on it and share it with each other, or even publicly via a share link...I like how they try to reign in big tech with such sweeping regulations that small tech will be unable to keep up with!
