@runoutgroover Any fine he gets will be sufficiently less than the 40 odd billion price tag *he* set as to be nothing to him. There really are very few laws you need to abide by if you are rich enough.

@heyrochelle @donkey @runoutgroover Apparently what's in the contract is that they have the right to force him to actually pay $44B.They don't *want* him to actually buy it at this point of course, but seems like they can use that as leverage to get a hell of a settlement. *And* it sounds like the court this would go through is more like months than years.Keep the popcorn out is what I'm hearing.

@zeborahThere are a couple of "outs" for Elon, the first wibbly one being the bot numbers. The second more sturdy ground is Twitter sacking a third of the higher-ups after the agreement, very arguably a significant modification of the company - something that is specifically not allowed in the agreement. @heyrochelle @donkey @runoutgroover
