@martijnbraam I finally replaced the worn-out ear pads on my Bose QC25 headphones with a new, third-party pair. I was surprised by the difference it made to both the sound quality and the noise cancellation. The pads aren't just there for comfort: they're an important part of the structure of the headphones.

@martijnbraam I had the same thing happen to mine. Instead of replacing the whole headphone, I scraped the faux leather of the headband and bought a generic headband cover, fresh pads and cable.Finally the hinge broke, right now it's holding together with zip ties, but I know I can buy replacement hinges as well.This said, I did buy a new pair of dt 770 pros, and they're quite better than the m50x.

@martijnbraam i had a similar flaking issue on my bose 25 if you take some cloth and keep rubbing against that material the fabric will be exposed and no more flaking just takes a while
