I'm writing a GTK app these days.I started working on that using Gnome and moved out of i3[1], fighting about 10 years worth of muscle memory.Furthermore, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the 2022 Gnome experience is excellent! You can configure custom keyboard shortcuts to make it behave more or less like i3 but, most importantly: DAT COMPOSITOR!The scrolls are butter smooth, there's no visible tearing, and the font rendering is **be-au-ti-ful**.If you're a sway/i3 user and did not try using Gnome for a long time, you probably should! Things changed a lot during these last 10 years.Hell, I might not move back to i3 once I'm done with this GTK app.

@Ninjatrappeur heh. I write GTK apps that i run on Sway. :)So, i switch between gnome on my work machine and Sway on my home machine every day, and somehow the muscle memory has finally stopped being in conflict.
