       I just installed #LInux Mint #Debian Edition 5 32 bit on an Acer laptop with a 32 bit Intel T2250 processor. Has 2GB memory. It's a bit slow to boot, but seems to work okay. This was for a customer who wants to keep on using this laptop and already likes and uses #LinuxMint

       Makes me want to install 32 bit #Linux on a Dell Optiplex desktop with a 32 bit procesor and see how well it does.

       @retroedgetech Go for it. I have two 32 bit laptops that I regularly use, because I like their haptics and overall design.Sure, you have to stay away from bloaty Electron apps, which also means you can't install Signal Desktop, but apart from that, they are still enjoyable to use.My preferred distros for these kinds of laptops: Bunsenlabs and Bodhi, or if possible (WiFi will probably not work unless the card is changed) Trisquel.

       @retroedgetech Good luck when less and less distros are supporting #32bit. Luckily #debian, #archlinux, #alpine, #gentoo, #slackware, #FreeBSD, #OpenBSD, #NetBSD and #LinuxMint Debian Edition among others will support these CPUs. Should be fine until 2038.

       @james This is one of the reasons why I have an interest in #netbsd, as it is most likely to continue supporting 32 bit.
