@urusan pretty good chance it’ll be Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame. Thinking about the cohort in high school and college when those came out.

@natecull @urusan I tried to introduce our now 11 year old daughter to #StarWars multiple times. She's vaguely intrigued by the OT, bored by the prequels and passionately hates the #Disney films.She loves the #FifthElement though.And she's just crazy for #StarTrek, both classic and NG, but her absolute favourite is #Voyager. #CaptainJaneway and #SevenOfNine are probably what comes closest to how I felt about Luke and Han back then.For her, SW #jumpedtheshark

@urusan We might be past the era of shared experience with popular media. The products for the masses are no longer memorable, and the good stuff is too niche.A few years ago I saw this question on bird site demonstrating this point: "Avatar is the highest grossing movie of all time. Can you name two characters, not the actors that played them?"This isn't to say that current films aren't enjoyable. They're just candy. Delicious but unsatisfying.
