Have you noticed? Cyberpunk settings almost never have children in them.I realized this while thinking about distinctive cyberpunk fashion for men, women, and children and realized that there wasn't really a "cyberpunk look" for children.

@urusan That's because all cyberpunk is written for edgy teenagers who know one thing, and that is that Stories with Kids in are Lame, Mom, it's not a phase, I'm an *adult*.

@urusan I mean, it's not that complicated. Color block in the CMYK palette, wear stunna shades, and tell everyone your braces are "oral bio-augmentations."

@urusan Blade Runner doesn't because in DADoES, Humans on Earth are dying out, but BR is nice, dumb visuals with no plot, & you certainly won't be told about the book by it.There's swarms of kids in written cyberpunk. Subcultures of them in Stephenson's Diamond Age. Immortal kids in Sterling's The Artificial Kid, colonizing Mars in his Shaper/Mechanist stories. Cadigan's & Rucker's books are heavily youth-oriented.Just don't waste your time on Gibson or Scott.#cyberpunk

@urusan There's not a lot of good visual cyberpunk. I used to keep an online catalog! It's pretty slim.I love Albert Pyun's Nemesis & the Cyborg movies, but they're stock adult action flicks with chrome attachments. You see a few kids in background, but never near the shooting. The shitty CDProjekt videogame, like most videogame devs rarely include kids for rating reasons. There's a kid protagonist in Beneath a Steel Sky.#cyberpunk

@urusan I assumed there was a fashion overlap between them and Dickensian orphans.
