Excuse me @OnDeck@twitter.com... I just installed your #SteamOS 3.2 update on my #SteamDeck. After reboot I'm now greeted with grub. Selecting any entry results in an error. What happened here?

@Corben78 That should never happen on a "console".

@boilingsteam My thought's exactly. I didn't unlock the filesystem nor did I enable developer mode. Just installed software that's vailable via discovery. I don't mind reinstalling SteamOS, but I'd like to know how this could happen.

@Corben78 @boilingsteam for normie gamers that had never heard of Linux, this would be quite scary. They have one set of targeted software, they should never allow this to happen.

@Afflicted @boilingsteam Sure "should" never happen. But things can go wrong. The question is more how to handle this error. And here Valve does everything right so far. They have a help site up, the recovery went straight forward, I didn't lose installed games nor settings. Was fixed within minutes. Flashing the USB drive took the longest time. Haven't heard from others yet having this issue, so maybe I'm the exception.People can also recover their iPhones ;)
