       @Codythedragonrude Unironically yes.  You aren't supposed to be a "full human" in the workplace, you're supposed to be professional.  Your workplace becomes uncomfortable and polarized when you talk about religion, politics, social issues, and other divisive topics.  It kills teamwork and opens them up to lawsuits.  Unless your job directly relates to that, companies are better off politely suggesting you stick to safer topics like sports, pop culture, or your kids.  If you insist on bringing it up, then they ban such talk explicitly.If you want to talk about that stuff, do it outside work.  Work should NOT be your family, your friends, and your main social outlet.  And you shouldn't be trying to live a fully expressed human life within your workplace.
