@cwebber It’s proven that ISPs can’t be trusted not to track, intercept and even alter our data in transit. Time to build a mesh net, a connected superhighway that runs over the top of public infrastructure and just skips all the nonesense.

@cwebber I’m looking at Yggdrasil and CJDNS for mesh networking!

@cwebber the absurd thing is these sort of blocks are utterly trivial to bypass. Of course that then makes sure as many people as possible will become more aware of encrypted, virtually untraceable, ways of accessing pirate sites meaning they become more and more resilient to geographic blocking.

@cwebber @lispi314 thing is the more noise is made blocking peoples access the more mainstream things like Tor and no-knowledge VPNs become.. and the easier to use they will inevitably become 😉

@lispi314 @cwebber at least for now we have the benefit that governments are too inept and too wilfully neglectful of actually understanding the technologies they’re trying to regulate to be a serious threat. But that will change in time as more savvy currently younger people find their way into the corridors of power 😔

Unless your ISP mandates you to have their root certificate in your local machine store, or you blindly accept any "untrusted site" certificate warning and click "OK", TLS thwarts any attempts by your ISP or Government from intercepting your traffic.
