@mikeythenurse I honestly don't get that thought process either. I already know of someone who's had it twice this year and been much more unwell the second time. There is so much coming out about the long term impacts of viruses and the connection to /development of, other illness later in life - I just don't understand why you would risk that for yourself/family. Seems so short sighted.

@Clianthus @mikeythenurse I guess the 'hell yeah' thought process assumes that it's inevitable, so best to get it over with. I'm currently isolating due to housemates testing positive and I admit to entertaining that line of thinking.

@strypey @Clianthus @mikeythenurse I don’t get it either. For a start post-viral complications are not hugely uncommon, and we know COVID is more than a flu. One friend had it weeks ago. Basically a bad three-day cold, but she’s still hobbling around with swollen joints and slugging back anti-inflammatories like mad. No thanks!

The plural of anecdote is not data but ... I know a bunch of people now who've had it. They described their experiences as no worse than a bad cold or flu and they all seem to be fine now. Whether or not it's wise or rational, I'm kind of losing the fear.@tim @Clianthus @mikeythenurse

I'm so sorry to hear that @mikeythenurse 😯 I don't mean to make light of anyone's suffering. Just trying to keep my spirits up as my housemates come down with it like dominos. By the time I posted that I already had a tickle in my throat and today I'm feeling pretty rotten. So unless I got a normal cold or 'flu by some unlikely coincidence ...Wish me luck.@tim @Clianthus
