@stux yea it's true. I jailbreak to unlock the full capabilities (even though those are limited). I like moving content through WebDAV on iOS 10 jailbroken but I don't think that's officially supported yet iOS 15 (I'll find out soon) :mastodon_oops: . It's honestly a shame how locked down it is, but maybe someday it'll change. That or Linux Mobile Operating Systems will catch up. :ablobcatbongo:

@stux Shame on me: I still use Windows as my main OS (but Debloated, so fuck Microsoft) and Linux as my second OS...The reasons for Windows are no compatability with Linux, like Adobe, parts of gaming and other software...When I have time, a NAS (going to build one myself) and not lazy I try to switch the main things over to Linux and only use Windows for certain Stuff like working with Adobe or game...

@stux I mainly use MacOS for work because I find it offers the best of both worlds, at home I use Manjaro Linux for my personal stuff because I find Linux just faster and easier to use. But I think that's because of the job where I work on Linux all day. And for gaming I actually still have a Windows box in a separate VLAN. :D

@stux I personally use GNU/Linux as my main rig for gaming and general usage and Windows on my school computer when I have to do tests for school, very lucky to be able to do a vast majority of my school work free software though. I do also use BSDs as I like them but I find that for my workloads Linux often works best.

@stux I usually come crawling back to Windows, because it's mostly convenient, I know its quirks and can work around them, whereas I'm still fscking up Linux UIs when I don't know what I'm doingI try Linux on my daily driver occasionally and get it working but I want to customize it too much without knowing how and I end up breaking fundamental things and having to resort to wiping my drive and reinstalling an OS anyway.

@stux I use Linux daily for work, mac for work and music, and my personal laptop runs windows currently because it’s my guitar fx and drum track machine and that software is not on Linux.

@stux I know people judge me, but I've been a macOS user since MacOS 8. I like macOS (both classic and its NEXTSTEP ursurper).Spent many years with Linux and Windows as well, trying to see if I could switch away. I always come back to MacOS. It is my comfort system.

@stux Forced to use Windows for work, no option to use anything else, VPN isn't set up to allow Linux due to 2FA being very Windows-centric. I DO use WSL when I can though mostly for note-taking or anything I can justify using it for. I use Linux for my own personal stuff though (Manjaro/i3).

@stux using opensuse leap as boot desktop but working and gaming is still mostly done in a windows kvm with gpu passthough (which i could also boot into bare metal in case i mess something up)both systems run at the same time and i'm switching back and forth as needed

@stux Interesting result.Got a desktop and a laptop, pluss two Shuttle PCs as servers. Everything is on Debian. My desktop has a VirtualBox for everything though, when I occasionally need something else 😁Waiting to get Fedora at work so I can drop Windows there too. It's so clunky and slow!
