Hey mastodon.me.uk users! Having trouble letting go of Twitter because of those few accounts that you still actually want to see? Try following @<twitter_handle>@birdsite.mastodon.me.uk, and let me know if it works! This is an experiment using BirdsiteLIVE (https://github.com/NicolasConstant/BirdsiteLive) and a mild violation of Twitter's developer terms of service... if it works and is useful, hopefully I can keep it around!

@gwmngilfen @Floppy ultimately, we don’t have the time to manage something like this, and none of us are Twitter users really, so it’s of little value to the team.Someone in the community if free to do it.

And for other instance admins who want to provide the same service for their users, I have a very nice docker-compose file that gets all this working in one shot, which I can share.

Many many thanks to @NicolasConstant for the excellent @BirdsiteLIVE. Brilliantly easy to get working.

@kev Can the community run it? It looks like you'd need to be an instance admin to set it up? I'll be honest, I didn't read too closely after that, since I assumed I *wouldn't* be able to run it - but if it's possible I might look into it.In any case, that's a totally fair answer, thanks!
