@uwucookie usually to prevent bots and scrapers from detecting a mail address and using it to spam.It's obviously not hard to code a bot that can reverse the precess and turn AT back into @, but it does cut down on the spam.

@fitheach Thanks! Most of my activity tends to be on Matrix these days - I feel more at home in a room-with-a-purpose than with the more personal-broadcasting style you get here.But I will try - at the least, the #RStats and #Ansible communities I work with deserve the airtime ;)

@kev Can the community run it? It looks like you'd need to be an instance admin to set it up? I'll be honest, I didn't read too closely after that, since I assumed I *wouldn't* be able to run it - but if it's possible I might look into it.In any case, that's a totally fair answer, thanks!
