       Something that'd be nice is being able to click a link to toots and profiles from other instances from within our own, and it'd let us see that toot within our instance, so we don't have to jump through hoops to follow and interact with them.

       @LovelyDumpling@mstdn.social that's how it works in misskey and pleroma. i think only mastodon does thisone thing you can do for posts is paste their url from their respective instance on the search bar, and it will find it on your instance.

       @emma I might look into those other platforms and see what they're like at some point.Pasting into search bar is what I've been doing. Doesn't feel like it should be this unintuitive but oh well.
